I am pursuing a certification in Elementary Education, with the intent to teach first grade. Currently I am substitute teaching in both the Ozark and Springfield public school districts to increase my experience in a classroom setting. It is also helping me determine appropriate classroom management strategies I will use in my own room. I am also observing a teacher within the Nixa school district and working in an elementary library. I believe the more time I can spend in an elementary environment, the better off I will be when I begin my full time teaching career. I enjoy teaching young children and am looking forward to having my own classroom and meeting my students.
