My primary responsibility as an advocate was to connect my families to resources in the Boston area. I worked with my clients on needs such as housing, food, commodity acquisition, utility protection, and legal assistance. I also created and facilitated a lasting relationship between my client and organizations, both government and private, that can assist them. Additionally, I followed up with my clients on a weekly basis, either by phone or in person, to ensure that they have the tools and knowledge they need to utilize the resources available to them.
