Qutaiba Albluwi

Dr. Qutaiba Albluwi is an assistant professor, consultant, and education specialist in cybersecurity. Currently he is the Dean of the School of Computing and Informatics at Al Hussein Technical University in Amman. Since October 2023, he has been serving in the Advisory Committee for the National Board of Cybersecurity in Jordan, working closely with national stakeholders to improve cybersecurity education, enhance national cybersecurity posture, and draft national cybersecurity policies. Previously, he served as an assistant professor at Princess Sumaya University (Jordan), a contract faculty at the Wilfrid Laurier University (Canada), an affiliate researcher with the Digital forensics and Cyber Security Center at the University of Rhode Island (US), Security Consultant at Zayed University (UAE), an accreditation officer at University of Sharjah (UAE), and a research assistant at Paderborn University (Germany). From the technical perspective, Dr. Albluwi is interested in digital forensics, incident response and applied cryptography. From the non-technical perspective, he is interested in cybersecurity education, cybersecurity ethics, and cybersecurity policy management. Dr. Albluwi acquired his Ph.D. in Computer science from the University of Rhode Island (US) in 2017, a graduate certificate in Digital Forensics (2015), M.Sc. in computer science from Queens University (Canada) in 2009 and B.Sc. in computer Engineering from University of Sharjah (UAE) in 2004.
