• Relevant modules: Structural Geology 1,2&3, Earth Resources, Stratigraphy 1&2, Igneous 1, Metamorphic 1, Sedimentary Geology, Applied and Global geophysics, Maths Methods 1&2, Geochemistry, Remote sensing and GIS, Numerical Methods (Python) • Organised a 5-week independent mapping project in Castellane, France, mapped an area of 25 km2 at 1: 10,000 scale focusing on the complex structures, developing negotiation and communication skills • Accomplished over 11 weeks of field work across Europe including tasks of sedimentary logging, cross-section, stereonet and mapping (1st class mark for all field geology modules) • Worked to a tight deadline for a variety of assignments, significantly improving data gathering and interpretation skills as well as resilience and competence of working under pressure • Research Project on Great Oxidation Event and Possible Causes (yr1) and Asteroid Mining (yr2) • Participated in appropriate field safety courses and generated risk assessment forms

Advanced course focusing on shipping markets and financial instruments used in freight market such as derivatives. Course involved analysing investment decisions and risk management as well as sources of shipping finance (bank loan, high yield bond and IPO).
