· Studied the effects of growth inhibitory factor (GIF) on central neuron system by numerous in vitro assays. · Characterized the biochemical and functional properties of GIFs lacking two unique insert sequences in the central metal-sulfur cluster. · Explored and defined the domain-domain interactions in GIF and their control of its activity. · Identified and characterized a novel type of the metallothionein MT-4.
