Joined Rohi Entertainment TV as a pioneer member for a short period of time before joining VOA at its headquarter at Washington DC, and worked as Sr. Producer for News and Current Affairs department. Developed the basic structure for the news and current affairs department and produced some documentaries on Sufi Islam and local culture of the Saraiki belt .

Worked as producer current affairs, host current affair shows and made documentaries on different social and political issues.

Worked as a Peshawar Bureau Chief for Pakistan's first English language wire service PPI. Being incharge of the office, I have to look at a number of administrative & journalistic activities. Worked as reporter and sub-editor, while working in PPI Peshawar Office. Covered a number of beats, including political, social, crime and courts etc. Also reported on Afghan refugee issues in Peshawar and worked with a number of International Journalists in the post-9/11 period.
