Puneeth Uchil

I began my pharmaceutical career at Biocon Biologics, where I worked as a Formulation Scientist closely with the analytical, quality, upstream, downstream and operations teams to support research and development projects for various mAbs and insulins, under GLP-compliant environments. Apart from core R&D, my responsibilities included real-time documentation using e-LN systems aligned with ALCOA+ principles, drafting study reports and protocols, supporting audits, participating in root cause analysis, and contributing to laboratory process improvements through 5S initiatives. This experience strengthened my ability to manage structured workflows, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure timely, compliant project execution. As part of my thesis project for M. Pharm in Industrial Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics), from the Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, I conducted my research work in Lupin Research Park, Pune, titled "Control of Nitrosamine Impurities in Antihypertensive Tablets". I also contributed to research activities of several other projects to support regulatory queries.Alongside my scientific journey, I became increasingly aware of a different gap in healthcare. During my student years, I experienced firsthand how emotional struggles that are not severe enough for therapy, yet too real to ignore, often go unnoticed. In pharma, I saw how health systems often begin caring after something breaks. That intersection between structured healthcare systems and overlooked emotional wellbeing inspired me to launch Friend Indeed, a non-clinical emotional fitness initiative built in collaboration with expert psychologists. The goal was simple: to make emotional health proactive, accessible, and stigma-free. Through this venture, I led operations, designed structured support workflows, coordinated professionals, and built a people-centered service model. Together, these experiences, scientific and human, have shaped my interest in Project Management and Business Development roles in Healthcare environments, where I can combine structured execution, regulatory awareness, and empathetic leadership to drive meaningful impact.
