As an ISO / Sustainability Officer at Okomu Oil Palm Company, I play a key role in ensuring compliance with international standards, driving sustainability initiatives, and integrating best practices into our operations. My key achievements include: Key Achievements & Successes ✅ Ensured ISO Compliance & Successful Audits – Played a key role in maintaining ISO certifications for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 through rigorous internal audits and compliance improvements. ✅ Led EUDR Compliance for Rubber Plantation – Conducted a gap analysis and developed corrective action plans, ensuring alignment with the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) for our Rubber Plantation. ✅ Strengthened RSPO & Sustainability Compliance – Ensured Okomu's compliance with RSPO P&C (Principles & Criteria), NDPE, and sustainability best practices, supporting certification audits and sustainability reporting. ✅ Developed an Effective Incident Reporting System – Created the Incident Report Log, which improved documentation of environmental and safety incidents, addressing previous audit gaps. ✅ Implemented Corrective Actions to Improve Safety & Environmental Performance – Identified and resolved non-conformities in safety and environmental processes, enhancing workplace health, safety, and sustainability performance. ✅ Enhanced Employee Awareness on Sustainability & HSE – Conducted training sessions and awareness campaigns, ensuring employees understand and comply with ISO, sustainability, and RSPO standards. As an Investigation Officer , my key responsibilities include: Conducting Investigations & Reporting Findings – I conducted thorough investigations into security breaches, theft, fraud, and workplace misconduct, ensuring that all cases were properly documented and reported to management for necessary action. Gathering & Analyzing Evidence – I ensured that all physical and digital evidence was accurately collected, preserved, and analyzed to support investigations and legal proceedings. Interviewing & Interrogation – I conducted interviews with employees, contractors, and external parties involved in security-related incidents to gather critical information and verify facts. Ensuring Compliance with Company Policies & Legal Standards – I ensured that all security investigations adhered to Okomu Oil Palm Company’s internal policies, Nigerian labor laws, and relevant industry regulations. Conducting Surveillance & Intelligence Gathering – I collaborated with our Tactical Operations Centre (TOC) in monitoring security risks, conducted covert investigations when necessary, and gathered intelligence to prevent incidents before they occurred. Collaborating with Law Enforcement & Internal Teams – I worked closely with the police, legal teams, and other agencies when necessary, ensuring seamless coordination for external investigations.
