Following my tenure at Guarding UK, I was invited to join Ward Security as a consultant for a short-term project, but I quickly discovered a company whose culture and people truly stood out. What began as a brief engagement evolved into several fulfilling years, working alongside a talented team that valued innovation, collaboration, and integrity. My time at Ward remains one of the most rewarding periods of my career, a place where new ideas were encouraged, even when they challenged convention, and where genuine care for people defined the business. I continue to maintain a strong professional relationship with Ward Security, collaborating on projects and partnering with their monitoring team in support of Propertysec operations. As part of the founding team at Guarding UK, I helped shape the company’s strategic direction and operational foundations, supporting its growth into one of the UK’s most accredited and respected security providers. Working across commercial, retail, and industrial sectors, I developed and managed one of the UK’s largest retail security contracts for The Co-operative Group, setting a national benchmark for quality and reliability. I also established a contingency workforce for the UK’s largest airport, ensuring resilience and service continuity in a highly demanding environment. Through my leadership and focus on innovation, I secured multiple industry accreditations on behalf of Guarding UK, helping to position the company as one of the most accredited security providers in the country, including achieving Carbon Neutral status, a first within the UK security sector. I also secured and managed major contracts spanning shopping centres, retail chains, and multi-tenanted office portfolios for leading property owners and managing agents, while establishing the company’s technical division and 24/7 monitoring centre to enhance its integrated service capabilities and market reach. These efforts helped transform Guarding UK from a start-up into a recognised leader in the UK security industry, driving growth, innovation, and long-term client confidence.
