Prof. Rajesh Bahuguna

I am holding the post of Pro Vice Chancellor and Dean of Law College Dehradun, Uttaranchal University. Besides fifteen years of glorious service in Indian Air Force, I had a privilege to work as lecturer in Law, Principal of Law College Dehradun and honored to be founder Dean of Law College Dehradun faculty of Uttaranchal University. My 45 years of teaching, research and administrative experience include establishing Law College Dehradun and taking it to the line of top notched law Colleges of the country. I Accomplished my Ph.D. from Kurukshetra University on the topic ‘Alternative Dispute Resolution system in India.’ With specialization in Constitutional Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution I have supervised twelve scholars for Ph.D. and fifty for LL.M. and some more are working under my supervision I had a privilege to organize more than 100 National Level events which include National Moot Courts, National Seminars, Workshops, Model United Nations Conferences, Mock Parliaments and Conclaves and 15 legal Awareness Camps and 15 Mega Voluntary Blood Donation Camps to celebrate Constitution Day of India which hitherto has received donation of more than 10000 units of blood. I am honored and privileged to be recipient of numerous Awards and Appreciations, most noteworthy being, from His Excellency Dr. K.K. Paul, the then Hon’ble Governor of Uttarakhand; Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rajesh Tandon, Chairman of law Commission of Uttarakhand; Department of Justice, Ministry of Law & Justice, New Delhi on 24th January 2024 and Hon’ble Governor of Uttarakhand Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Gurmit Singh, PVSM, UYSM on 8th August 2024 My passion is to guide, motivate and mentor young mind for spreading legal awareness, voluntary blood donation, legal research, Pro bono services and competitive services examination. I may be seen as Chair, Keynote Speaker, Guest Speaker, and Judge in Moot Courts and at times as Law Guru on Radio and TV Channels.
