In charge of the marketing of the Department (marketing champion) from 2016-2017. Departmental section head for postgraduate and research. Member of the college CRIC committee. Head of EE Department.

 Lecturing of MEng students in three telecommunication subjects at the University of Zambia. Conducting research, preparation of exams and test and attending staff meetings. Promotion of university relationships with local companies.  Generated new business leads for SIMBU engineering and other roles included research and communication with potential business clients, establishes new business relationships, maintaining existing relationships and oversees the entire business development process. Mentored less experienced personnel in business generation.  Regularly reviewed channel partner business plans and contributions and implement improvement plans as required.  Actively identified and qualified new and/or replacement channel partners. • Worked extensively with mines in the Implementation of DSM/EE strategies to mitigate the energy shortage in RSA. • Creation of virtual power stations in various mines around RSA. • Energy options for South Africa such as renewable energies and carbon capture. • Designing and simulation of energy plant process such as compressors, and mine pumps • Liaising with the mines to modify their level and pattern of electricity usage. • Implementing load shift during critical peak periods in South Africa. Project management • Day to day general office work such as attending meetings and liaising with subcontractors, • Ensuring that the project moves according to the project schedule, this will include planning, implementing, costing and estimation and monitoring the project time frame. • Establishing and responsible for project communication with client and subcontractors. • Preparation of weekly and monthly reports to client and management • Effect close liaison with client representatives • Review project progress and update on regular basis to client and management. • Ensuring that clients and subcontractors are quite aware of the contractual obligations. Other activities • Evaluating Energy Efficiency for buildings in South Africa. • Energy efficiency motors for lifts and escalators • Motion sensitive sensors for automated control of lightning and air conditioning appliances. • Carrying out Energy audits and recommending to building owners any necessary changes regarding energy efficiency.
