Priya Balachandran is an experienced entrepreneur and leader in the life sciences tools and digital health space, driven by a passion for improving human health. She possesses deep expertise in building highly specialized technologies from concept to market, with global impact across portfolios in bio-tools, genomics, diagnostics, and consumer health. Her product portfolios include consumables, hardware, and software. She currently serves as the CEO of Huddl Health, a University of California, San Francisco spinout building a complex therapy enablement platform, and is the co-founder of Atzeyo Biosensors, focused on developing a point-of-care device to transform cancer care. Prior to this, she was the Chief Operating Officer at Applied Silver, Inc., a Silicon Valley-based health tech company. Earlier roles include leadership positions at Tecan and Thermo Fisher Scientific (Fortune 500). Dr. Balachandran serves on advisory boards for early-stage companies and is a Board Director for the Healthcare Laundry Accreditation Council. She is a successful researcher with peer-reviewed publications and patents, having earned her Ph.D. in microbiology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California at San Francisco.
