Currently, I am working as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Manitoba, Canada. I gained experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Nuclear Engineering at Seoul National University, South Korea (April 2023 - July 2024), studying the defect characteristics in the nuclear fuel cladding material HT-9 steel through DSC and S/TEM. In December 2022, I earned my PhD degree from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, India. My PhD research focused on investigating the effect of Si content on the microstructure and mechanical properties of stainless steels (SS) and led to the development of novel Si-SS with a tremendous potential to replace conventional steels (austenitic, ferritic, and duplex stainless steels-DSS) in nuclear and aerospace industrial applications owing to its high strength, high wear, and corrosion resistance. Over the years, I have developed a strong foundation in the field of Physical- and Mechanical- metallurgy and proficiency in advanced Microstructural characterization techniques (SEM, EBSD, XRD, TEM, EDS). I have a strong academic background and extensive hands-on experience in the microstructural and mechanical characterization of materials (such as Steels, Superalloys IN718, UHTCs, Al, Cu-Zn, Cu-Al, Cu-Ge). Additionally, I have experience in writing research proposals and submitting my applications for various prestigious postdoctoral fellowships such as JSPS, Humboldt Fellowship, and MSCA.
