Based at Trump International Hotel and Tower (AED 2bn) on the Palm Jumeirah, responsible for various Value Engineering exercises and Valuations/Payment Certificates. Previously based at Dubai International Airport, Phase 2 Expansion, at the Civil/Infrastructure works site office. Responsible for managing four QS’s on various Airfield projects; (9 Packages AED 1.1bn), Project Scope included runway/taxiway, water supply/stormwater drainage, fuel line, airfield lighting, power/communication installations and associated runway/taxiway civil works. Responsibilities included valuating/certifying interim payments for monthly applications/valuations (measured works, extended/preliminaries, additional items, material price escalation, materials on site/recovery, advance payment/recovery, retention, and variations - in accordance with CESMM3). Also compiled orders of cost (estimating), built up rates, undertook site visits, attended progress meetings and produced/updated the material price escalation (AED 33M) for Airfield Works Contract.

Based at JFK airport for the American Airlines T8/9 re-development project – Phase I and II ($1.4 bn - 2 million sq/ft, 53 gates). Reviewed mechanical/architectural change orders/(value $5k-$4m) and reconciled them against base bid contract drawings/addenda’s and A/E sketches against subcontractors valuations. Reviewed sub-contractors contracts to evaluate entitlement. Tasks included estimating, determining validity of submittal/entitlement, verifying agreed union labor rates, approving T&M tickets, pursuing credits, site visits/measures and negotiations with subcontractors to finalize values.

Based at Asda/Walmart House, worked on a pioneering scheme, with the in-house ASDA (Facilities Management) team to manage their £30.6m budget, ensuring priority works (asset replacement/renewal) were completed in all 243 stores. Audited 1,500+ (per annum) cost plans, projects included dilapidated plant, refrigeration, smoke vents, HVAC, building works, lifts, escalators, roofs, car park repairs, electrical panels and upgrades. Risk assessments and Life Cycle costing were undertaken. Daily negotiations with suppliers/contractors achieved maximum cost savings. Invoice verification against cost plans/completed works, ensured payment for final account. Overall tasks included cost management, cost forecasting, budgeting, auditing, cost monitoring, benchmarking and database development. Left to due overseas opportunity

Sandwich Year Placement Estimated (in accordance with Uniformat II and CSI) the construction costs of national projects in all cost ranges covering most of the full spectrum of project types including airports, schools, aquariums, hotels and multi-storey car parks. Responsibilities included all cost consultancy services from conceptual to IFB/IFC (issue for bid/construction) stages. Feasibility studies and reconciliations were also undertaken. Site visits were undertaken to assess work carried out at various projects i.e. Solectron, Federal Express and Millennium Pharmaceuticals. Total aggregate cost of estimated projects was $1.26 bn.

Foster Firm Scheme during University Worked in the Yorkshire region of the UK. Projects included Windsor Baths, Morrisons supermarkets, Farmers Boy, The National Museum of Photography, Film and Television and Interface. Duties included producing bills of quantities, drainage schedules, drawing logs and take-offs (in accordance with SMM7).

Based on site in Al Ain at the Qasr Al Muwaiji Research & Exhibition Centre (birth place of Skeikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan) AED 212m, was previously based at the Qasr Al Hosn Rehabilitation Project (AED 5bn) for the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) in their drive to renovate key historical landmarks. Both projects include rebuilding fortwall/mudworks, demolition/rebuild works. New works include state of the art envelope and exhibition works, site works include water fountain/bespoke landscaping/siteworks and mosque. Also based on site in Abu Dhabi at the Eastern Mangroves Hotel (project consists of a 5 Angsana Hotel and Luxury Residential Apartments) for Tishman/TDIC. Duties focused on agreement of Variations with the Contractor and preparation of Orders of Magnitude for new works in order to gain budgetary approval from the Client. Tasks include undertaking various post contract duties (Final Account Agreement, Interim Payment Recommendations, Variation Agreement, Management of both Project and Construction budget, Preparation of Monthly Client Reports)

Responsible for Cost Control/Management of 14 key Eastern Hemisphere projects ranging from $2M-$129M (Total $600M) in various locations e.g. Egypt, Russia, Iraq and Pakistan. Key duties include preparation of monthly reports/dashboards to Executive Leadership Team consisting of CEO, VP and Directors. Other duties include developing Project Cost Breakdown Structure/Taskcoding/Budget Breakdown, Cost Loading Master Schedule, Cost Monitoring, Collection of Actual Costs and development of robust Forecast (Manpower/Procurement), Trend Reporting, Identifying Cost Variances and providing justification (Budget vs Actuals vs Forecast), and Monitoring Progress vs Costs using metrics such as Earned Value Analysis.
