As AI lead for BlackRock in India, I lead the firm’s India presence, driving strategic growth, innovation, and operational excellence. Having previously served as Country Head for BlackRock India, I bring a unique combination of enterprise leadership, deep operational context, and hands-on technology experience to this role. Over two decades across BlackRock, RBS/Natwest, and Sapient, I have built expertise at the intersection of technology, innovation, investments, business operations, and leadership, scaling global teams and delivering transformative solutions. My career began with cutting-edge work in mobile app development and AI-driven tools—think WinCE as iOS and Genetic-Algorithms as GenAI of late 90s! This foundation in technology evolved into leadership roles in FinTech, where I have led the development of credit derivatives platforms, investment risk solutions, and end-to-end investment management systems. At BlackRock, I have grown the India presence into a strategic hub, contributing very significantly to global operations and building high-performing teams aligned with the firm’s commercial ambitions. My focus on talent development extends beyond the workplace. I’ve initiated scholarship programs for young women, taught at CFA’s 'Young Women in Investment' program, and served on the boards of academic institutions. With experience across India, California, and London, I thrive in global, cross-cultural environments towards building scalable platforms and high-performing teams. Whether scaling global operations, driving innovation, or leading bold new ventures, I bring a visionary yet pragmatic approach to leadership. I am also a certified Independent Director (Ministry of Corporate Affairs, India) and bring board-level perspectives to governance, strategy, and innovation.
