👋🏽 Hi, I'm Prasanta. 🎓 Received my PhD from Université Grenoble Alpes, 2x Marie-curie fellowship from EC and graduated with a Master's degree in Aerospace engineering from University of Manchester. 🌇 Live in Bangalore, with a passion to build technology for sustainable development. 📚 Currently building Newtrace with a goal to enable affordable green hydrogen for decarbonisation of large scale-industries and transportation. Previously worked for Leonardo helicopters on helicopter design, Convergent science on software development, Kwest research on market research and analytics. Was a Founder-in-residence with Entrepreneur First India for 2 cohorts. 💻 As for my future, I am interested in building businesses and technologies to tackle problems in large scale development and with a potential to positively impact public lives. 🏔 In my free time, I spend time in nature hiking and with family & friends. 💪🏽 My strengths are in growing businesses, operations and new product development.

Marie Curie fellowship from european commission for project IMESCON in the area of active flow control technology & helicopter rotor performance prediction. -Developed an approach for coupled multi physics simulation & optimization of piezoelectric-driven active flow control systems (AFCS) for rotor blade aerodynamics. -CFD investigation of aerofoil aerodynamics for evaluating rotor blade stall characteristics & impact of active flow control systems on alleviating dynamic stall.
Education

Fluid Mechanics, Energy and Process Engineering
Thesis title - ‘Simulation of cavitation erosion by a coupled CFD-FEM approach’. -Developed compressible cavitation solver with arbitrary-lagrangian eulerian (ALE) formulation using Fortran & Python in the CFD code YALES2 for simulating hydrodynamic cavitation in fluids. -Developed & validated step-wise methodology for fluid-structure interaction (FSI) coupling with FEM code Cast3M to analyse the multi-physics coupled dynamics in cavitation erosion. -Numerical modelling of the dynamics of cavitation bubble collapse near solid walls & multi-physics simulation for estimating solid surface deformation & material erosion.

Aerospace Engineering
1. MS Dissertation - ‘Acoustic liners on modern turbofan engines’. -Investigated role of acoustic liners in the duct of large bypass turbofan engines & developed a simulation program using Fortran to predict fan noise trajectories of commercial aircraft engines on different flight profiles. 2. Design Project - ‘Development of a generic design process for man portable UAV systems’. -Led a team as Project Manager to develop a design process for fixed wing UAVs for autonomous flight vehicle training applications & validated it by designing, building & successful flight testing of the modular UAV platform.

1. B.Tech Dissertation at GTRE, DRDO - ‘Three Dimensional Numerical Study in an Afterburner of a Gas Turbine Engine’ -Studied various configurations of the flame holder & analysed flow behaviour using Ansys Fluent of an afterburner of a turbofan jet engine. 2. Internship - ‘Overhaul of RD-33 turbofan engine’ at HAL Engine Division, Koraput. 3. Appreciation award in the module of Creativity, Innovation and New Product Development.
