I worked as a sales assistant in Nisa where I was responsible for assisting customers to find the products, dealing with complaints, managing refunds and looking out for shoplifters and fraudulent credit cards. During this time, I learnt a lot about customer's behaviour while advertising products and services. This role has helped me to deal with any challenges that arose during my working period, and due to my hard work and dedication, I earned my manager's trust and therefore, he made me responsible for cashing up all the transactions at the end of the day.

NCS is a charitable organisation which provides opportunities to young people from age 15-17 years old to develop life and employability skills and deliver community project of their choice, addressing a local issue for the benefit of others. As an assistant team leader, my duty was to provide advice and guidance to 15 vulnerable young people and encouraged them to participate in all tasks. As a part of this programme, young people had to hold a charity event to spread awareness about mental health and to raise money for Elva House in the Bexhill/Sidley area. Throughout the programme, I was responsible for ensuring young people were safe and guide them to reach their aim. The result of the programme was, our team managed to raise £300 in one day and we had the opportunity to meet Amber Rudd (MP of Hastings & Rye). This role has helped me a lot to bring out best in me by building my confidence and improving leadership skills which were useful during my university period.

Working as a waitress for five years has improved my communication and problem-solving skills by dealing with the customers (face to face & over the phone). While working in a restaurant, I was responsible for serving food and drinks efficiently and in a most courteous manner. This role has helped me to increase my level of patience and my ability to work under pressure along with this, I have learnt to work in a fast- paced environment.

As an organisational manager at Gurkha Kitchen, I am responsible for creating a rota, recruiting employees, training staffs, and maintaining a good relationship with customers and suppliers. My main task is to be updated with legal requirements to run the businesses due to which I ensure to be in contact with the organisation's accountant and lawyer. Along with these duties, I have also helped the organisation to design the front cover for the food and beverage menu, and I am also responsible for observing the customer's behaviours. This role has helped me to come out of my comfort zone and build my confidence which has improved my leadership skills, time management skills and decision-making skills.
