Kaptronics develops motors, drives & control systems for railways and the electric vehicle sector. Our products include AC Motors, DC Motors, permanent magnet alternators & motors, panels such as Auxiliary Circuit Cubicle, Control Cubicle, Filter Block, Switch Board Cabinets and other panels, critical functional cooling units for traction applications such as DB Hatch Blower unit, radiator cooling fan for Diesel Locomotives and various types of blowers for electric locomotives. • Act as a point of contact between the company and suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, Retailers and Logistics & transportation providers. • Manage suppliers to meet objectives related to cost, delivery performance, schedule and quality. • Solving vendor doubts related to technical specifications and drawings. • Identifying potential suppliers based on project requirements. • Identifying & tracking critical parts expediting of Shipment and ensuring delivery. • Continuous improvement: Identifying process inefficiencies, implementing process improvements, and exploring innovative procurement practices and technologies to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness. • Arrange and participate in meetings between suppliers and Company engineers and other personnel to facilitate standardization and economical procurement. • Assisted in the implementation of an ERP system resulting in improved efficiency and accuracy. • Negotiate the best payment terms and contract conditions, maintaining high level of purchase to pay integrity. • Reviewing the pending purchase order on daily basis and taking necessary action. • Establishing effective collaboration with NPD & production to ensure goals are aligned. • Giving feedback to design team related to design issues faced by suppliers and making sure drawings get updated. • Ensuring TC’s get received and giving feedback to supplier as per internal test reports. • Assisting Tendering and Costing Department as required.

• Screening of Requisitions Prior Procurement. • Reconciliation of customer PO in ERP system against Price list and price variance. • Clarifying specification and negotiating best price and Delivery with the sales engineers inline with project requirement. • Following up with supplier sales team for PO approval and order booking. • Conjunction with users and technical experts wherever appropriate while providing the provision of information. • Material Procurement Receipts, Maintaining Minimum & Maximum Level of Critical & fast Moving Items, Maintaining All Procurement Documents. • Continuous improvement: Identifying process inefficiencies, implementing process improvements, and exploring innovative procurement practices and technologies to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness. • Accountable for sourcing the supplies of material. • Assisting in the development of procurement reporting metrics, e.g. open PO reports against pending SO, Purchase data analysis, Project margin, PO closures, database clean up, etc. Coordinating with the Client, On-shore team, and internal teams on process and other issues.

• Taking necessary action plan in case of delivery delay of parts and discussing with necessary stake holders about the action plan. • Developing systems and processes with optimum output and getting good quality products. • Analyzing quality and delivery failures through Pareto principles and Setting department Quality objectives and reviewing the same. • Customer complaint handling and taking necessary corrective actions through 8D Analysis. • Customer audit handling and presenting all necessary documents during audit and closing non conformances. • Root cause analysis in case of quality issues by using QC tools. • Monitoring On time delivery status of company using delivery trends and taking necessary action plans by setting target date and responsibility. • Supplier related issues handling & conducting supplier audits. • Conducting weekly Process audits and closing the same. • Ensure that all in-house systems and procedures are as per ISO 9001:2015 updated, revised and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies. • Conducting monthly MRM meeting. • Supporting employees on KAIZEN activities. • Update quality documentation to carry forward lessons learned from quality concerns. • Ensure that all necessary systems and procedures are in place to satisfy all customer requirements and audits. Improvements and problems resolved: • Taken self-Initiation and prepared complete tool library for CNC milling to make sure programmer doesn’t need to enter parameters every time or eliminated false entry of milling parameters which reduced programming time, quality and overall output. • Created on time delivery data base to track reasons behind the failures and action plan to improve the same and prepared dashboards and trends using excel techniques. • Automated supplier rating calculation excel sheet prepared for tracking supplier ratings more effectively and for review. • Introduced checklist for referencing and programming to WEDM, EDM & CNC milling section

• Activity involving purchasing and processing parts as per final drawing and BOM. • Preparing process drawings as per final drawing. • Preparation of production schedule on monthly, weekly & daily basis depending upon priority and capacity basis and circulating to the respective department. • Following up with inhouse production team and suppliers for BOM items. • Carrying out final and in process inspections of machined components. • Documenting TC’s by ensuring traceability. • Monitoring all inspection and testing equipment to ensure current and valid calibration.
