ICAR – Central Tuber Crops Research Institute (CTCRI), Sreekaryam, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala 📅 June 2025 – July 2025 Project: Identification of homozygous and heterozygous CMD-resistant parents using SNP markers in cassava 🔹 Worked on cassava improvement research with focus on marker-assisted selection for Cassava Mosaic Disease (CMD) resistance. 🔹 Gained hands-on training in DNA & RNA isolation, gel electrophoresis, SNP marker analysis, and molecular characterization techniques. 🔹 Learned about the application of molecular biology tools in crop breeding and disease resistance. 🔹 Strengthened skills in experimental design, data interpretation, and laboratory techniques. This internship gave me valuable exposure to applied plant biotechnology research and enhanced my interest in crop improvement using molecular approaches.

Completed an internship at HLL Lifecare Limited, where I worked on molecular biology and microbiology techniques including DNA/RNA isolation, medical kit preparation, gel electrophoresis, western blotting, and centrifugation. This experience provided me with practical exposure to industrial laboratory workflows and strengthened my technical and research skills in biomedical sciences.
