PRODUCT HANDLED : Tommy Hilfiger, GAP etc RESPONSIBILITY : 1 Worked as an Industrial Engineer, under the guidance of DGM- production. 2 Trained by Kurt Salomon associates (KSA system) and Garment sewing data (gsd software). 3 I was been sent to re-engineer the conventional system followed in the Sara International unit in Mysore Road, under the guidance of DGM Production. 4 When ever new purchase order comes, industrial engineering works starts as follows 4.1.1 Break down the garment into segmental operation. 4.1.2 Set the time standards as per SAM(standard allowed minutes) 4.1.3 For each operation using GSD Analysis. 4.1.4 Set the machine layout as per the requirement like ‘U’ layout’s’ Layout, Line layout etc. 4.1.5 According to the SAM calculated fix up the target for the production. 4.1.6 Implement Time study and motion study to enhance the production, upgrading the operators in multi skilling and providing the Operators incentives for achieving the target etc. 4.1.7 Making operators performance report regarding their behavior, skills, speed, grade, so that reutilizing them for the required operations. Increments used to be made according to this report.
