I am currently overseeing the comprehensive maintenance operations of Sri Lanka’s tallest and most luxurious residential development, The Address. This iconic twin-tower complex rises to 68 and 35 storeys, reaching an architectural height of 272 meters from the basement. These high-rise towers are equipped with cutting-edge systems and world-class amenities designed to deliver a premium living experience. My responsibilities cover a wide range of engineering systems, including: 11kV/400V Indoor Electrical Substations, Standby Generator System with advanced synchronization capabilities, Fire Safety Systems including Fire Detection & Alarm System, Fire Fighting and Sprinkler Systems, Fire Suppression Systems for critical areas, Staircase Pressurization System, Public Address (PA) System, HVAC Systems (Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning), Automatic Lighting Control Systems, Potable Water Systems: Storage, Transfer & Booster Pumping, Vertical Transportation using passenger Elevator Systems, Low Voltage & ELV Systems, including CCTV Surveillance, Access Control, Telephone & Data Networks, In-Building Solutions (IBS) for mobile communication, Building Management System (BMS) with Luxury Amenities like Heated Swimming Pool, Fully Equipped Gymnasium. Managing such a diverse and integrated set of systems in a high-rise environment requires not only technical expertise but also a deep understanding of operational coordination, safety compliance, energy efficiency, and proactive maintenance planning. I am proud to be part of a project that sets new benchmarks for vertical living in Sri Lanka.

Pinnacle Projects Pvt. Ltd. is a design & build MEP contractor specialized in designing, fabricating & installing, sound proofing systems, Generator Silencers and Canopies. I am responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of wide verity of projects all-over the island under Pinnacle Project Pvt. Ltd. This role involves leadership, coordination, and strategic management to ensure projects align with the company's goals, meet deadlines, stay within budget, and deliver high-quality results. My role involves with Project Strategy and Planning, Team building mentoring & monitoring, Budget and Resource Management, Stakeholder Management, Project Execution and Monitoring, Quality Assurance and Compliance, Continuous Improvement of the company systems & policies.

I was previously overseeing the Design & Build of the MEP component for the Maradiva Resort and Spa renovation project, valued at USD 3 million. This 5-star hotel refurbishment initiative, initiated in April 2023, is commissioned by Mauriplage Beach Resort Limited and encompasses the enhancement of 64 luxury villas, restaurants, a spa, a pool, and various other amenities situated in Wolmar, Flic En Flac, Mauritius. The scope of work includes refurbishing the entire Electrical system, Landscape Lighting System, Digital Dimming System, Telephone, Data, and Wi-Fi Network. Additionally, it involves replacing Cold & Hot Water Pumping & Booster systems, Fire Fighting System, Fire Alarm System, Sewerage Piping Network, Swimming Pool Filtration System, and conducting Testing & Commissioning of all these systems/Networks. Furthermore, I am actively engaged in negotiating with the consultant-client for variations, preparing project work schedules, and participating in progress review meetings, technical/design review meetings, and management client meetings. Additionally, I am contributing to procurement and supply chain management, reviewing and signing sub-contracts, and monitoring and managing the performance of all service contracts. Moreover, I have managed plumbing installations for the Parkside (New Phase) and Riverpark Apartment projects in Phoenix Mauritius, in collaboration with Waterstone Realty and RLB Hooloomann & Associates.

I held dual roles as the head of the MEP Design Department and the MEP Project Execution Team. My primary responsibilities included designing and reviewing all MEP drawings according to established standards for Apartment Buildings. This encompassed Electrical Power and lighting, ELV, Fire Detection and Protection, Water Supply with Plumbing Networks, Sewerage & Waste Water, Sewerage Treatment Plants, STP Effluent & Rain Water Harvesting, Storm Water Discharging, Earthing, and lightning Protection. Additionally, I managed Site MEP teams to ensure timely completion within allocated budgets. I reviewed MEP installations to ensure alignment with company objectives and compliance with safety and local regulatory authority rules & regulations. I handled consultant, client, vendor, and subcontractor management related to the MEP scope, including negotiations for variations. I prepared project work schedules and actively participated in management, progress, and technical review meetings. Moreover, I reviewed the procurement of service contracts to implement best practices for enhancing service quality and consistency across all property portfolios of the company. Furthermore, I managed the MEP execution of various projects, including Elixia 3Cs, Canterbury Lexes Golf Resort, Canterbury Golf Resort, Canterbury Garden Resort, and Santorini Resort. I conducted MEP design reviews, implemented value engineering proposals, and oversaw MEP installations for projects like Ariyana, Green Valley, Treasure Trove, Aurum, and Highness Luxury Apartments. Additionally, I designed and executed MEP services for the Chairman’s luxury residence project in Colombo 8.

I supervised the MEP installation operations for the Mövenpick Five Star City Hotel in Colombo, overseeing a budget of LKR 1.3 Billion for the MEP segment. My responsibilities included planning, directing, and guiding specialized teams to achieve project milestones within set timelines and financial constraints. This involved creating work schedules, monitoring the implementation of quality assurance and quality control measures, and ensuring timely inspections to uphold safety and quality standards. I also played a key role in coordinating with stakeholders such as consultants, architects, and interior designers to address any issues and maintain a smooth workflow. Additionally, I participated in progress review meetings and technical discussions to ensure alignment with project objectives. Furthermore, I conducted detailed design reviews of various MEP systems, including electrical LV distribution and lighting, fire detection and protection, plumbing, LP gas distribution, and stormwater and drainage systems. Notably, I spearheaded the design and construction of innovative systems such as a new chilled water-cooling system, remote radiator 3MW generators, cold water and hot water booster systems, and a swimming pool filtration system for both the main pool and Jacuzzi. Overall, my role encompassed comprehensive project management, technical expertise in MEP systems, and a focus on delivering high-quality results within budget and schedule constraints.

I supervised the day-to-day maintenance operations of the shops' maintenance staff. I implemented and managed a maintenance complaint system to ensure that no complaint went unaddressed for more than 24 hours. Additionally, I established a preventive maintenance program for all serviceable units and equipment, ensuring smooth branch network operations. I regularly reviewed and improved preventive maintenance programs for all mechanical and electrical systems. I also formed a breakdown response team to swiftly address sudden breakdowns. My responsibilities included managing labor, materials, subcontractors, tools, and equipment efficiently and profitably. I facilitated the procurement of service contracts to enhance service levels for department heads and branch managers. I proposed enhancements to shop/system operations for increased efficiency and conducted investigations into major breakdowns, coordinating with relevant service providers for rectification works. I oversaw the reliable supply chain management of soft services and consumable materials. Moreover, I prepared and executed energy management proposals and managed all renewal and upgrading projects by meticulously planning, controlling, organizing, and monitoring available resources. In addition, I managed expenses within allocated budgets through close monitoring and cost control measures. Simultaneously, I managed construction activities for the CEO's new residence project in Colombo 5. This involved estimating additional or variation works, representing site management meetings, preparing and submitting value engineering and service enhancement proposals, reviewing and approving contractor progress claims, responding to contractor requests for information, and issuing site instructions.

Coordinating with Consultants, Clients, and Vendors for the project; Overseeing all on-site operations, including subcontractors, for the installation and commissioning of the SCADA system aimed at automating the operation of the 11 kV Electricity Distribution Network in Colombo City. Directing the installation of RTUs, patch panels, marshaling kiosks, DC banks, routers, interposing relays, caballing, terminations, as well as conducting testing and commissioning activities. Serving as the representative in site management meetings, preparing material submittals and monthly progress reports, and procuring movable materials and services. Managing client relations, preparing monthly invoices, handling variation claims, and providing estimates for additional tasks. Additionally, formulating and submitting Value Engineering proposals.

Leading and managing all on-site activities related to Electrical & ELV installations at Standard Chartered Bank in Dubai International Finance Centre. Collaborating closely with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. Overseeing and coordinating site tasks for HV/LV Electrical & ELV installations at The Crowne Plaza Hotel on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, comprising 501 standard star class guest rooms and Stay Bridge Apartments, a 5-Star Hotel with 165 long-term apartments. This includes supervising installations in areas like swimming pools, car parks, and landscaping. Procurement, installation, and testing of LV Switchgear, Motor Control Center, General Lighting and Dimming Control System, Small Power, Fire alarm and Fire Detection System, IP Telephone and Data Systems, Wireless communication system, Building Management System, CCTV, BGM, PA & VE, Access control System, among others are within the scope for Crowne Plaza Hotel. Reviewing IFC drawings, raising RFIs for consultants, and addressing subcontractor RFIs for technical clarifications. Generating shop and coordination drawings for the Main contractor, reviewing with subcontractors before submission to consultants. Conducting quantity take-offs for electrical materials. Facilitating communication with the main contractor/consultant and representing site management meetings. Preparing material submittals and overseeing on-site electrical installations in adherence to project Master, Quality & Safety plans. Ensuring availability of necessary information, materials, tools, and machinery before work begins. Providing training to subordinates, managing version control of drawings, among other responsibilities. Conducting pre-tendering activities such as reviewing tendering documents, raising RFIs for consultants, and responding to subcontractor RFIs for technical clarifications. Conducting material take-offs, estimating manpower, preparing preliminaries, soliciting quotations, and preparing tenders for MEP projects.

In my role as Electrical Superintendent (System Control Operations) at the System Control Center of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), I am responsible for overseeing the management of the Electrical Power Network, commonly known as the National Power Grid of Sri Lanka. My duties include dispatching power while regulating the system frequency to 50 Hz and ensuring a stable system voltage within ± 20% of the nominal voltage. Additionally, I coordinate and pre-arrange all necessary routine maintenance activities for power plants and transmission lines across the country, ensuring minimal disruption to the smooth functioning of the power network. In the event of breakdowns, I efficiently coordinate with relevant maintenance and breakdown crews to rectify issues promptly. Furthermore, I oversee the management of water resources from all CEB-owned reservoirs to maximize power generation potential. Additionally, I am authorized to issue work permits for the 220/132kV power network after ensuring all necessary Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) issues are addressed in accordance with the Permit-To-Work System of the Ceylon Electricity Board.

Perform monthly maintenance of the MULTITREND® online real-time database server for erosion and corrosion data and compile status reports for Brunei Shell. Conduct troubleshooting and upkeep of existing erosion and corrosion monitoring systems across all oil and gas platforms operated by Brunei Shell Petroleum as part of maintenance contracts. Provide repair services, both scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs, at onshore and offshore facilities for Brunei Shell under Shinba Integrated Engineering Services (IES). Undertake the installation and commissioning of VEEderoot® Tank Gauging systems for underground Petrol & Diesel tanks. Coordinate with consultants, Brunei Shell Petroleum, subcontractors, and vendors to conduct an initial feasibility survey for installing automatic actuators for control valves at the Seria Crude Oil Terminal operated by Brunei Shell Petroleum. Develop relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) documentation and procedures for the project, and deliver presentations and reports summarizing survey results to the client. Install, commission, and troubleshoot FIREYE® Main Flame detection Digital Signature Smart Scanners as part of the STORK® boiler SCADA upgrade project.

Focused on electrical systems performance, power quality, and energy efficiency in modern residential buildings, with emphasis on the impact of harmonics and load unbalance on protective switchgear reliability. The research used MATLAB/Simulink (Simscape Electrical) to simulate real-world conditions with non-linear loads such as HVAC systems, inverters, elevators, and LED lighting. Key analyses included FFT-based harmonic evaluation, Total Harmonic Distortion (THD), Voltage and Current Unbalance Factors (VUF/IUF), and crest factor, aligned with IEEE 519 and IEC standards. The study assessed MCB, MCCB, and RCD performance under distorted conditions, identifying risks such as nuisance tripping and thermal stress, and proposed mitigation through filtering, load balancing, and improved coordination to enhance system reliability and safety.
