As a SOC Analyst responsible for monitoring and triaging security alerts using Sequretek NG-SIEM and XDR, identifying threats, and escalating incidents to ensure rapid response and threat mitigation. Key Responsibilities:- Real-Time Monitoring: Monitor and analyze security events via Sequretek NG-SIEM and XDR for anomalies and suspicious activity. Alert Triage: Perform first-level triage of alerts, identify false positives, and document findings. Incident Escalation: Escalate validated incidents to Tier 2 with appropriate context, including IOCs and MITRE ATT&CK mapping. Log Analysis: Investigate logs from endpoints, networks, applications, and cloud environments. Threat Intelligence: Leverage built-in XDR intelligence to correlate and identify emerging threats. Case Documentation: Maintain accurate records of alerts, investigations, and escalations using tools like ServiceNow. Playbook Execution: Follow predefined SOC playbooks and SOPs for response actions. Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal IT and security teams for coordinated response and remediation. Tools & Technologies:- -Sequretek NG-SIEM: Log collection, correlation, and threat analytics -Sequretek XDR: Endpoint, network, identity, and cloud telemetry -Threat Intelligence Feeds: Internal and external sources -IDS/IPS Solutions -Ticketing Systems: ServiceNow, internal case management tools. Skills & Competencies:- -Understanding of cyber threats: malware, phishing, DDoS, brute force, etc. -Log analysis and alert investigation. -Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK framework. -Knowledge of Windows Logs, firewalls, antivirus, DNS, etc. -Basic grasp of TCP/IP, OSI model, and core security protocols -Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset -Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced SOC environment
