- Validating in-process testing and providing advice on corrections required to ensure that the raw materials and products are within specification, Documenting inspection results by completing reports and summaries, and, inputting data into the quality database. - Setting up specifications of products. - Preparing preventive maintenance and calibration plans for laboratory equipment - Operating test equipment as per laboratory methods and maintaining equipment in a good condition, and, testing and troubleshooting all instrumentation devices. - Problem solving and trouble-shooting basic operation issues and assisting QA with related investigations

R&D Functions: - Controlling polymer synthesis and developing new formulas (phenol formaldehyde resin). - Controlling polymer characterization and testing. - Controlling and testing physical properties (tensile, blending, compressive strength and application tests). - Controlling and testing chemical properties (Viscometer, GPC, HPLC, FT-IR, etc.). - Improving production processes and creating standard data for first batch scales. Service Functions: - Planning to, and visiting customers, and providing support by answering technical questions. - Handling customer complaints and non-conforming products. Document Functions: - Supporting all programs including ISO9001, 14001, safety rules, 5S and other Quality Management Systems implemented on site. - Providing GHS Systems & TDG document support.
