- Defined Colt’s network transformation roadmap, leading SR adoption, Flex-Algo integration, and PCE-based path engineering. - Drove the Colt's Capital Market Network redesign, enabling scalable capital market feeds (multicast & unicast) with reduced operational complexity. - Led OSS/DCN initiatives including Tokyo OSS build and MOSS-DCN integration. - Partnered with global architecture/engineering teams on the Neo acquisition integration, including ASN 3549/3356 peering strategies.

As part of Juniper’s Escalation TAC, I supported and resolved critical outages and escalations for Juniper’s largest global customers, including Google, AT&T, Comcast, Verizon, Level 3, and CenturyLink. - Acted as the last line of escalation for service-impacting issues across Juniper’s routing platforms. - Provided break-fix solutions under pressure, coordinating with engineering and product teams to restore service quickly for mission-critical customers. - Developed deep platform-level expertise, going beyond surface-level configuration to architecture, software, and hardware internals. - This role shaped my technical depth, building a foundation that later enabled me to lead large-scale transformation and design programs at the operator level.

Part of the Core Engineering team responsible for building and evolving Thomson Reuters’ Global MPLS Core – Sigma Network: a diverse, highly resilient backbone supporting financial trading environments worldwide. - Contributed to the reshaping and optimization of the Sigma Core, ensuring resilience, low latency, and scalability for financial market data delivery. - Designed and deployed new data center core architectures for Trading Environment (TE) networks. - Collaborated with global engineering teams to deliver a backbone capable of supporting mission-critical financial services with extremely high availability. - Gained hands-on experience in financial extranet services, which became a foundation for later work in Colt’s PrizmNet and Capital Market Extranet.

At Airtel, I established myself as a Core Network Engineering leader, driving several strategic initiatives that reshaped Airtel’s backbone and service delivery platforms. - Next-Gen Voice Transformation: Led the design and deployment of Airtel’s Next Generation Network (NGN), transitioning from legacy TDMA to a packet-based IP/MPLS voice core. This program modernized Airtel’s mobile voice network and significantly improved scalability and efficiency. - Converged Super Core: Consolidated Airtel’s previously separate Enterprise VPN and Enterprise Internet cores into a unified Converged Super Core, while maintaining service edge separation. This architecture reduced complexity, lowered operational costs, and improved resilience. - Global ISP Backbone: Designed, engineered, and optimized Airtel’s global ISP and MPLS backbone, coordinating with peers like AT&T, Sprint, Level 3, and C&W for BGP policy and traffic engineering. - Innovation & Services: Delivered new service capabilities, including QoS for NNI partners, Multicast over MPLS, VPLS, and L2VPN offerings, expanding Airtel’s enterprise portfolio. - Leadership & Knowledge Sharing: Trained and mentored NOC engineers, authored design documents, and provided ongoing technical guidance for new services. This role gave me hands-on exposure to large-scale ISP operations, deepened my expertise in MPLS, QoS, VPNs, and multicast, and built the foundation for my later leadership in network transformation and convergence strategies.

Hughes was my first company and the place where I pivoted into a career as a Network Engineer. As part of the Network Operations Center (NOC), I gained hands-on experience in managing enterprise and service provider backbone networks while delivering high availability for critical customers. - Core Exposure: First professional experience with leased lines, ISDN, Frame Relay, and ATM networks. Learned how telephone exchanges route physical circuits, how leased-line modems are tuned to specific bandwidths, and how last-mile circuits are provisioned and monitored. - Operations & Monitoring: Monitored Hughes’ managed customer networks, ensuring 99.9% uptime for platinum customers using traffic engineering and proactive troubleshooting. - Configuration & Support: Managed backbone router configurations, provisioned Frame Relay VPNs, and implemented ISDN backup (PRI/BRI) solutions for customer redundancy. - Tools & Practices: Gained hands-on experience with HP OpenView (NNM) for network monitoring and fault management. This role gave me my first exposure to service provider networking, building the foundation in troubleshooting, availability management, and customer-first operations that has guided my career ever since.
