About

I am a protein biochemist interested in membrane proteins and their structure-function studies. My career started studying GPCRs and their characterization of receptor kinetics in Diabetes animal models. By characterizing adrenergic and serotonergic receptors in the brain I explored a critical role in regulating hormone status in disease animal models. This followed a highly productive post-doctoral period of learning X-ray crystallography, membrane protein crystallization, and structure-guided drug design techniques. Consequently, several years of working with major pharmaceutical companies, starting with Amgen, in GPCR structural biology projects led to gaining skills in drug discovery. In addition, I also worked in the Automation industry specializing in membrane protein crystallization robotics. I worked for a few years in academia with NIH funds to perform innovative science in membrane channel protein structure-function studies.A proven scientist, who works collaboratively and can lead projects. Focused Protein Biochemist who delivers consistent and professional work for every assignment. Offers 10+ years of experience in biotechnology industry environments and top-notch abilities in membrane and soluble protein engineering, expression, activity assays, assay development, Biophysical techniques, and more focus on Structural biology. I am trained in various aspects of all classes of proteins and membrane protein target-directed drug discovery in therapeutic applications. Diligent Scientist bringing advanced knowledge of protein chemistry, biophysical techniques, and all aspects of Structural Biology. Proven capabilities in research planning and management. Driven to continuous scientific exploration with a curious, analytical mindset. History of making significant advancements in knowledge and understanding of biological life. I am at a career stage and am looking to develop into a senior role in a pharmaceutical research environment. If a position needs a wide variety of skills in protein chemistry, please message me here. I will respond for sure. Thanks for visiting my profile.
