Co-founder of real estate investment company in Nicaragua. Performed market research, networked, led & managed property negotiations, acquisitions & portfolio management. Attended Spanish schools in Costa Rica (January 2008) & Nicaragua (October 2008) & lived in Spain to further improve my Spanish language skills (March – July 2008) in preparation for my role within our company. End result: successfully acquired several properties (Incidental duties at present day).

Completed research proposal on climate change & surf tourism, but decided to pursue different path with more human interaction & real life relevancy. Participated in International Mentor Program, various university sports clubs and the Language Match Program (taught Dutch and practiced my Spanish).

Bunker Bay Quay West Resort, Dunsborough, Western Australia Head barman in lounge/cocktail bar of Western Australia’s only premier 5 star resort. Worked (independently & as part of five person team) in front of elite customers. Also trained newly hired employees.

Led groups (30 people max.) on various tours: volcano boarding, day hikes & estuary kayak tours (Part time job).

Bar Piscina Atlantic Gardens - Corralejo, Spain Worked in local bar in order to communicate in Spanish on daily basis.

Community Football Department, Football Federation Australia, Sydney, Australia. Based on Masters Dissertation got an internship at FFA. Initiated, coordinated & delegated research on school football competitions within New South Wales.

University of Technology, Sydney, Australia. Held 60 minute guest lectures for Bachelor of Sport Management course & led groups of 30+ students through weekly tutorial program, answered questions, explained material, oversaw group activities, facilitated discussions & marked assignments.

ABN AMRO Bouwfonds Asset Management B.V., Amersfoort, the Netherlands. Did independent strategic investment research, was responsible for due diligence of investment objects & independently held business meetings with external consultants. End result: company’s strategic investment focus was adjusted based on my Master’s thesis & I got hired as junior research analyst in which role I contributed to numerous successful acquisitions.
