Work for my Master's Thesis, concerning the development of a Lab-on-a-Chip for the automatic extraction and purification of RNA from cells. I designed a new device allowing to process a sample volume 26 times larger than the existing prototypes. A new microfabrication process was designed and implemented, allowing a cheaper and simpler manufacturing. Finally the produced devices were tested experimentally.
