We specialize in developing advanced humanoid robots powered by innovative Physical Intelligence (robot π). Our mission is to leverage humanoid robotics as a tool for societal advancement.

Development of a human-like quasi-direct drive robot that is designed to target the consumer market. With its revolutionary strong and lightweight electric motor together with its low inertial cable driven transmission, Halodi Eve reaches the direct drive scenario with no backlash, and extremely low friction while still being as strong as human. It can perform the whole body balance on wheels and a leg and dexterous manipulation with dual arms in full torque control. He is one of the technical founders and gets responsibility mainly for robotic computation, transmission design, motor design, real time robot control and artificial intelligence. He is one of the inventors of the Halodi dual arm and Halodi Eve robot as well as leading the mechanical development of the robots.

Development of an automatic surgical robot from scratches for needle insertion, cutting and suturing with a team around Europe (I-SUR). I took responsibility for the Reasoning & Situation Awareness module and some parts of the Sensing module of the robotic system. The Sensing makes use of 3D vision with Kinect and stereo camera, CT scan, ultrasound scan, force sensor and robot kinematics. The Reasoning and Situation awareness module, which is based on Dynamic Bayesian Network, helps the robot understanding its state and making decisions in the given tasks.

Research and Development of a Visual-Inertial Servoing System

Ph.D. thesis: “Development of a visual-inertial servo control system for a robot manipulator”, which involves robot manipulator control, computer vision, visual servoing, inertial navigation & embedded system.

Master thesis: “Development of an INS/GPS navigation system for land vehicle application”, which involves Inertial Navigation System (INS), Global Positioning System (GPS), estimation theory using Kalman filter, land-vehicle kinematics, sensor fusion, inertial sensor calibration
