Phuoc Doan

Doan Tu Tich Phuoc is a lawyer with extensive legal practice and policy development experience in both the private and public sectors in Vietnam. He advised big techs and other MNC clients on various legal and policy issues in Vietnam and assisted them in dealing with major regulatory developments in the country's ICT sector. Phuoc is currently leading the legal and corporate affair division at MoMo, the biggest fintech platform in Vietnam. Prior to joining MoMo, he worked for BowerGroupAsia, a US-based public policy consulting firm, from 2015 to 2019, and for Hanoi office of Allen & Overy, a top-tier law firm headquartered in London, from 2012 to 2014. He also spent eight years from 2005 to 2012 working for the Vietnam Competition Authority, where he was appointed as one of the first antitrust investigators in Vietnam and involved in drafting a number of laws and regulations on competition, consumer protection and intellectual property for the country. Phuoc got an LLB degree from Hanoi Law University and an LLM one from Queen Mary, University of London with a Chevening Scholarship awarded by the British Foreign Commonwealth Office. He is a member of Hanoi Bar Association. Phuoc was recommended by The Legal 500 in the General Counsel Powerlist for Vietnam in 2023 and for South East Asia in 2024. He was also ranked among Top-Tier Inhouse Counsel by the In-House Community in 2024.
