Cassidy Henry

Cassidy is a Senior Expert Product Manager. They work alongside top AI laboratories to improve frontier models’ reasoning and research capabilities through supporting RLHF endeavors with applied AI engineering and user-centered conversational technology. They are a PhD candidate in Linguistics poised to finish in 2026. Cassidy’s research spans prosody, phonetics, low-resource speech technologies, and human-computer interaction, with current work focused on classifying human- vs. machine-directed speech using prosodic cues. Prior to and during graduate school, they worked in a U.S. government research lab, studying how people adapt their language when communicating with robots. Cassidy’s work bridges linguistic modeling and applied AI, grounded in the belief that people and AI make a great team. Their research explores how human communication strategies can inform better AI behavior, and how speech patterns shift across interaction contexts.
