Completed an analytical case study on the fleet impact of the Mediterranean Sea SOx-ECA regulation, analyzing vessel performance data to model compliant fuel voyages. I presented findings to the commercial team and senior management, wrote the company’s “Get to Green” sustainability newsletter, and supported emissions and performance projects using fleet data.

Improved and automated the company’s ERP system for the Ship and Barge Departments. I standardized and led virtual training sessions for all Marine Engineering employees to implement updated workflows for parts ordering and system management.

Contributed to hull performance and production support projects, including offshore wind platform material takeoff analyses, ship trim and stability calculations, and lifesaving drawing updates. Performed hands-on shipyard testing and inspection work on active vessels, including vibration testing and fire control plan walk-throughs.

Participated in an international pre-law fellowship that explored the intersection of law, policy, and global industry. Through firm visits and seminars, I learned about comparative legal systems and the structure of the legal profession abroad.

Worked as an engine cadet on board Military Sealift Command’s hospital ship: the USNS Comfort. I assisted with machinery maintenance and repair, observed shipboard engineering operations, and completed a sea term project that included creating technical reports and schematics on the ship systems, design, and operations.

Worked alongside experienced wooden boat builders, project managers, and designers on refit and repair projects for motor and sailing yachts. Gained practical experience in structural, electrical, and woodworking techniques while learning traditional yard craftsmanship.

Served as a city youth representative on a 25 person council. My responsibilities included addressing community needs, volunteering locally, and promoting youth leadership. Helped to create, lead, and organize community events including annual Outside the Art Room art showcases, various fundraisers, and a Black Lives Matter Youth Forum.

Led a quality assurance effort to test and troubleshoot Senaptec's latest prototype, Swift Touch. This prototype utilizes technology to assess and improve human's sensory skills. I identified software and hardware bugs in the Swift Touch system, documented data, and wrote reports for the engineering team.
