【About me】 My name is Phoebe Chen. I graduated from National Chengchi University, and I majored in International Business. I’m optimistic, diligent, and have a sense of responsibility. I hope that I can continue to engage in the related fields in the future. 【Working experiences】 ・ Logistics Specialist, EPFM DE LCC Taiwan Branch. May 2023 - Now I am responsible for managing the import process, transport contact and cost management for the containers to America, Canada and Australia. Including confirming the import documents, arranging cross-border transportation and tracking each container, monitoring ocean freight rates and inland trucking rates, and requesting payment for freight, customs clearance fees and trucking fees. During this job, I needed to contact several companies to ensure that all the transport processes worked smoothly and control the cost. Therefore, communication and negotiation skills were vital. Additionally, if there were any damaged or missing products during the delivery, I had to contact the warehouse and arrange the following details. These made me enhance my crisis management skills. 【Project experiences】 ・ Cross-border Transportation Network Establishment Jun. 2024 - Dec. 2024 Due to changes in Amazon's delivery policies, our transportation cost has increased. To resolve this issue, we re-planned the transit routes to have the containers delivered to Amazon warehouses directly from the ports or rail ramps. As the person in charge of this project, I was responsible for inquiring and negotiating the rates with forwarders and trucking companies. Evaluating the transit days and the cost structure of each proposal. In total 33 routes have been established in the United States, 7 routes in Canada, and 4 routes in Australia. Compared to cooperating with local 3PLs before, this project has achieved a cost reduction of around 15%-20%. During each kind of experience, I continue to improve different skills, especially the hard skills of international business.
