Planning and scheduling: Create detailed project plans, establish timelines, and set milestones to ensure efficient project delivery. To develop, progress and report the schedule status of the project and proactively assist and support the PM to deliver the project objectives and to report on the project status. The planner undertakes the initial and ongoing detailed forward planning for the project in support of the PM.

Budget and Cost Management:  Create and manage project budgets, monitor expenditure, and provide cost forecasts.  Contract and Tender Documentation:  Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities, and ensure they comply with building and construction regulations.  Cost Analysis:  Analyze costs for new and maintenance projects, prepare costings for tenders, and conduct risk and value management.  Financial Control:  Establish and operate cost control systems, track project finances, and ensure adherence to financial targets.  Valuation and Payments:  Measure and value completed work, process payments to contractors and subcontractors, and prepare final accounts.  Risk and Contract Management:  Identify and analyze commercial risks, advise on contractual claims, and negotiate with contractors and clients.
