About

I am a passionate educator, instructional leader, and licensed professional that believes "all students can learn." Despite my beliefs, all students do not have the same opportunities afforded to them based on their zip code. In light of this injustice, I want to help redefine what’s possible for low-income students on a wide scale because this is not just a social equity issue but a personal one for me, and I relish the opportunity to have an increased capacity to impact change in the work that matters most to me—educational equity.

KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools is part of the growing network of KIPP (Knowledge is Power Program) schools across the nation. KIPP is a network of free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory schools dedicated to preparing students in underserved communities for success in college and in life. There are 183 KIPP schools in 20 states and the District of Columbia serving more than 70,000 students. In Metro Atlanta, there are currently eight KIPP schools--including three elementary schools, four middle schools, and one high school--as well as the KIPP Through College Program, which supports students on their journeys "to and through" college. KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools plans to serve more students each year as it grows into a full K-12 network.
