Better City is an economic development firm that specializes in creating jobs, attracting development, and increasing tax revenue. My primary responsibilities included research, data analysis, and business and grant writing.

I was an intern for Senate Majority Leader Ralph Okerlund during the 2014 legislative session. As his only staff member, my responsibilities included managing his schedule, managing his email, coordinating with lobbyists and experts to give testimony in committees, attending appropriations and standing committee meetings and taking notes, writing news letters to constituents, and any other task Senator Okerlund needed me to fulfill. I also tracked all of the Senate's priority bills that they sent to the House of Representatives, so that Senate leadership could see, at a glance, the status of their priority bills in the House.

Operated an Epilog Laser Mini engraver and CorelDRAW X4 in plotting and engraving metals and plastics for WesTech's water and waste-water treatment equipment. Handled receiving of shipments, inventory distribution, order fulfillment, customer service, and crating assembly in WesTech's shipping/receiving warehouse.
