I’m a backend-focused Software Engineer and Software Engineering student at Miva Open University, with hands-on experience building backend and full-stack applications using Node.js, Python, C, and Vue.js. My journey into software engineering wasn’t linear. I initially pursued Medicine before making a deliberate career pivot into software development after navigating academic transitions and real-life responsibility. Those experiences shaped how I work today as a software engineer: systems-oriented, resilient, disciplined, and accountable. As a backend developer, my core strengths include designing and building RESTful APIs, implementing business logic, working with databases and data-driven systems, and understanding how backend systems perform under real-world constraints. I’m also comfortable as a full-stack developer, working with Vue.js on the frontend to integrate APIs and deliver complete, user-focused applications. In addition to technical skills, I bring strong communication and public-speaking skills. From 2018–2021, I was part of a public speaking club and mentorship program, delivered sermons in my local church, and spoke at small gatherings. These experiences strengthened my ability to explain technical concepts clearly, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute meaningfully in engineering discussions.
