About
With over 25 years of experience in distribution, manufacturing, commercial sales, and technical education, I have been on the forefront of the growth and supply of innovative building materials throughout North America and the Caribbean. My work has focused heavily on tile and stone solutions—supporting architects, distributors, and contractors in solving complex design challenges and supplying materials for housing developments and high-rise projects that have reshaped regional skylines. Based in Florida, I’ve found it especially rewarding to contribute to transformative building projects through both technical problem-solving and strategic collaboration. As a Certified Tile Consultant (CTC), my thesis on sound control and impact acoustics—originally published in 1994—continues to be widely referenced and remains relevant in today’s industry standards. My career has also extended into international markets, including Dubai, Hong Kong, and the Asia-Pacific region. I’ve led contractor workshops, architectural specification seminars, and technical support initiatives to expand market reach and drive product adoption. I have served on various committees and boards, representing both ANSI and the United States in ISO working groups, helping to advance global standards in tile and stone installation. My mission is to give back to the industry by sharing knowledge, fostering innovation, and building lasting relationships that lead to meaningful, long-term impact, making lives better.

One of the originals in Florida starting promotion of DITRA daily while in distribution before it’s current square dove-tail configuration in the 1990’s pioneering a complete paradigm shift introducing new products and methods of installing porcelain tile over a geometrically configured bonded plastic membrane with non-modified thin-set. With support of Sean Gerolimatos, Earl Maicus, and Steve Brasington, obtained the necessary product approvals and building code approvals in the state of Florida for DITRA, KERDI and the KERDI drain while teaching, and being taught by, thousands of contractors up to 2 workshops per month at Clemson University / brick institute at TCNA (then TCA) and hands on workshops at CTEF with Peter Nielsen (later followed by Steve Brasington and then Andy Acker), Russel King, and Chris Daffer, focused on teaching contractors the art of packing mortar beds creating mass contractor adoption of these new methods which led to a new standard in 2014 now known as ANSI A 118.10, Load Bearing, Bonded, Waterproof Membranes for Thin-set Ceramic Tile and Dimension Stone and thanks to Peter Nielsen’s committee work, also obtained at that time was the TCNA handbook detail for uncoupling, all while providing education on uncoupling and bonded waterproofing to Florida architects through AIA seminars to drive demand through architectural specifications to the distribution network strategically built based on tile consumption per-capita in Florida and the Caribbean. Implemented the Authorized Dealer Program throughout the state. Developed the powder coated Tuscan profile line finishes to match stone while providing field support for contractors, developers and distributor reps as part of the combined effort of taking these products from exotic applications to mainstream methods and household names. Truly one of my most proud accomplishments that is an absolute honor to be just a small part of.

Technical Sales Representative
Deerfield Beach, Florida, United States
Tasked with Re-aligning distribution networks, Technical Education and Architectural Specifications for the TSIS, FCIS, and concrete restoration lines in Dade County, Broward County, and the Naples Ft Myers areas of South West Florida. Introduced the Nations 1st light weight thinset, UltraLite, through hands on contractor demonstrations. Also introduced the 1st shrinkage compensated calcium aluminate based grouts retaining water curing from a chemical reaction reducing porosity from roughly 14% on standard cementitious grouts to 3-4% by eliminating Portland cement and the need for air and evaporation for the latex to coalesce in the curing matrix therefore reducing porosity and eliminating Efflorescence in the joints with now 1 grout for the first time, useful from 1/16 of an inch to 2 inch joints. Developing the state was quick and massive in the TSIS line bringing on Mowhawk Industries creatively motivating their outside sales reps to offer complete systems instead of just selling tile in a box by incentivizing their sales team rocketing sales of TSIS into millions in less than 1 year.
