Managing the production of 16ha pepperdews for export to the UK and Europe. During this time I was given the task of managing a labour force consisting over 300 people which were involved in the picking and processing of the pepperdew fruit. Growing of the crop consisted or trellising, spraying, picking and processing over the course of 9 months. Record keeping of fert and chemical costs were strictly adhered to while overlooking the finances of the crop. A great learning experience where I was able to capitalise on my leadership skills and agricultural knowledge as a farm manager.

During this period I was setting up and managing a chicken enterprise which will result in 36 000 layers in due time. This role involved overseeing the construction of three chicken houses, water and electricity installation as well as fencing construction.

Assistant in managing a highly successful arable farm learning a range of skills with mechanics and agronomics

Assistant in managing a mixed farming enterprise involving a spectrum of crops such as wheat,potatoes,sunflowers and soya beans. Time was spent managing a large workforce of up to 130 workers involving a number of operations such as: • lifting and packaging of potatoes. •loading a number of 30ton trucks with bagged maize •chemical and fertiliser applications •installation of potatoe irrigation systems
