Designed and created a database containing all known physical neuronal connections and the neurotransmitters and receptors they use in C. elegans.

* Oversaw a small intern team tasked with implementing the functionality of an IBM research project into Lotus Connections, an enterprise social network. * Worked closely with stakeholders to determine best technical practices to integrate into Lotus Connections * Periodically presented results to Lotus Connections Development and Quality Engineering teams.

* Innovated ideas to improve Lotus Notes Client and User Experience resulting in added functionality to the LiveText and myWidgets feature sets. * Designed and implemented user interface and infrastructure to gather information for the creation of dictionary recognizers and their wiring up to myWidgets using Eclipse Plug-in technology. * Created and presented short Elevator Pitches to promote the innovation.

* Consulted users of current plasmid viewers and storage systems to discover current needs and to create a set of requirements for a possible replacement of the existing systems. * Performed a survey of state of the art plasmid viewers to determine candidate to adapt into existing Abbott programs. * Adapted an open-source implementation of a plasmid image renderer, PlasMapper, to consume GenBank File Format files as well as input from existing Abbott infrastructure to create informative representation of plasmids on demand. * Prepared web page, web service, Pipeline Pilot, and standalone executable distributions of the plasmid viewer for consumption by existing Abbott programs.

* Created Rational Application Developer (RAD) Plug-in using to facilitate rapid end-to-end developent of Web 2.0 applications culminating in a briefing of the CEO. * Consulted stakeholders to create concept and direction of project from loose set of goals. * Provided technical expertise to influence business decisions. * Designed and implemented user interface and infrastructure to gather information.

* Wrote a Unit Testing Framework based on JUnit and Eclipse to make it easier for developers to develop and run tests. This involved developing an Eclipse Plug-In. * Oversaw the adoption of the framework giving presentations of the framework to upwards of 20 people at a time, including many high-level managers. * Wrote numerous documents explaining how to use the framework and good test writing practices. * Investigated tools for use in conjunction with the framework. * Active participant in and occasional chairman of weekly Unit Testing Workgroup meetings.

Configured Lab and monitored wellbeing of Lab Computers including: resolving computer issues, Installation of Operating Systems (mainly Windows), and installation of product. Identified and reported errors and defects found while using the product.
