Birchweir Commercial Services Ltd is a VAT registered and Construction Industry Scheme registered company. The company provides the flexibility to provide short term contract work as required. In 2015 I reviewed a schedule of rates for SSE in their major cabling division.

Working in the specialist highway services division I dealt with all street lighting tenders throughout England and Wales. Where street lighting, traffic signs or cabling formed the main element of an enquiry I took ownership of the estimating process, vetting new enquiries, holding settlement meetings and responding to clients within strict deadlines. Being the sole street lighting estimator in Tarmac Ltd, I worked closely with colleagues from sister divisions to provide estimating support covering street lighting, traffic sign and cabling elements of multi-discipline tenders, such as the ‘Nottinghamshire Highways Partnership’ contract which was valued at over £80 million.

In 2012 I co-founded Top Out Brewery LLP, taking an active role in the brewery, I was involved in every aspect of the business. From sourcing and installing equipment, to production, quality control and customer service. I sold my share of the brewery in 2017.
