Worked as part of a small team supporting approximately 250 users in multiple offices in the UK and Europe providing 1st to 3rd line support. Managed a network of around 100 Windows 2003 and 2008 (inc R2) Servers (many virtual). Also assisted in the creation and expansion of a VMWare ESX environment. Managed Site-to-site VPN links & telephony solutions. Under took project work such as Domain Migrations and Office Relocations.

Provided mainly 2nd and 3rd line support to around 150 users including 50 home-based workers. Maintained the network of around 70 Windows servers. Built standard images for PCs and deployed thin-client terminals. Assisted with the installation of a number of Citrix Metaframe XP servers and with projects such as an office relocation (including the design of a new data center).

Provided support (mostly 2nd/3rd line) to the companies users on-site and at remote locations across the UK from Southampton to Glasgow. Manged a network and Windows Server & VMware ESXi infrastructure on-site, in branch offices and in a number of off-site Data Centers. Took on various projects to build, upgrade and fit out several branches with new equipment, including building Active Directory Domains, Hyper-V servers & backup solutions using BackupExec.

Working for a small company as the sole IT technician. Looking after all levels of support (1st, 2nd and 3rd line) and managing a infrastructure of 20 servers (Windows and Linux) providing Internet-facing services and providing application support for a bespoke system. Also managing Exchange, Active Directory and SQL Servers. Tasks include managing and troubleshooting plus new installations and updates.

Providing support exclusively for Santander Bank UK. Looking after 4,500 Windows Servers and 1,000 VMware ESXi hosts across multiple Data Centres in the Midlands and Home Counties
