I am a Mechanical Engineering student with a passion for designing, building and testing high-performance mechanical systems. ● Engineered a robotic human-vs-computer chessboard that autonomously senses and physically moves its own pieces. ● Packaged stepper motors, rails, and a gantry system to use magnets to move the chess pieces accurately. ● Attached a Hall-effect PCB to sense the locations of the magnetic pieces, navigating very strict board thickness constraints.

Leading the Drivetrain Subteam – Baja SAE ● Oversaw the design, fabrication, and assembly of the full drivetrain for an off-road competition vehicle. ● Created fabrication timelines and coordinated machining to keep the team on schedule. ● Collaborated with other subteams to ensure drivetrain integration with chassis and suspension. ● Performed hand calculations and FEA to validate drivetrain designs before manufacturing.

● Conceived and modeled a custom hexapod in Onshape, 3D printing optimized linkages that minimized movement error, reduced friction, and simplified assembly. ● Calculated torque, load, and power requirements to select appropriate servos, electronics, and battery; then simulated motion paths in MATLAB and derived inverse kinematics equations to validate design feasibility. ● Brought the system to life by coding in Arduino IDE, integrating inverse kinematics with hardware, and enabling real-time control through a PS4 controller.

● Collaborated in a small team to design and fabricate a competitive 3 lb combat robot. ● Led iterative Onshape design and SolidWorks FEA of a high-performance weapon system. ● Increased weapon moment of inertia by 13× and doubled the moment arm, while limiting the weight increase to 1.5× through targeted lightweighting. Optimizing the design further by utilizing generative design.

● Enabled higher top speed, selectable 4WD/2WD, and improved stability by redesigning the front output to integrate a chain drive and clutch system, lowering the center of mass, using SolidWorks. ● Integrated gearbox with rear chain drive and front output systems, while designing compact, regulatory-compliant guarding to ensure concentricity, safety, accessibility, and drivetrain protection in off-road conditions. ● Directed onboarding and training, kept fabrication on schedule, and partnered with team leads on integration and strategic problem-solving. ● Machined critical parts, applied DFM to redesign components, and oversaw drivetrain manufacturing.
