Petra Terzi

With over 20 years of experience in video production, filmmaking, and event management across commercial and NGO sectors, I served as Location Manager for Netflix's "Un Cuento Perfecto" in the Greek Islands. As a promoter and concert producer, I collaborated with Hollywood figures like Kevin Costner and Michael Bolton through Creative Artists Agency. My films have earned 40+ international nominations and 16 Movie Awards, focusing on emerging artists, gender equality, women's empowerment, diaspora, and minority voices. I co-founded Women in Film and Television in Cyprus and established the Cultural International Festivals network including the [cyprusfilmfestival.org] in Cyprus and [bridgesfest.eu] and [cineartfestival.eu] in Greece. Operating in Greece, Cyprus, and the U.S., my diverse educational background includes Business, Life Coaching, Film Direction, Digital Video Production, and Writing. I've directed the documentaries "She Should Run – Cyprus". Currently, I am engaged in three exciting projects: 1. Development of the international tv series "Kanela," a groundbreaking co-production involving Greece, Spain, Armenia, Cyprus. The story follows the coming-of-age journey of three children whose story intertwines themes of love, loss, rejection, and post-war healing. It emphasizes the importance of remembrance and unfolds to the rhythms of Armenian music and flamenco dance. 2. We establish a new Cultural and Art Center in Agii Theodori, Corinthia, Greece, emphasizing our dedication to cultural strength outside major cities. 3. "She Should Run-Cyprus 2: The Forest of Peace"-Cinéma Vérité, an observational documentary that follows the advocacy strategies and empowering actions of women politicians from both Turkish and Greek-speaking areas of Cyprus. It captures their participation in a symbolic tree-planting event to establish the Forest of Peace. This project carries a global message of unity and reconciliation, which we aim to spread through the Women in Film and Television international network. I am also a guest professor at the Communication University of China in Nanjing and Laikon University in Athens, a publisher of the magazine Cine@Art and an engaged member of the Association of European Journalists. Additionally, I am a member of the Greek Directors Guild, Cyprus Directors Guild, NYWIFT, and WIFT Canada, and have served as a jury member at prestigious events such as the Jaipur International Film Festival and the Cell Phone Cinema Humanitarian Awards at Cannes.
