As a research assistant, I was involved in a project initiated by The Chief Prosecutor's Office, focused on investigating the difficulties in classifying corruption offences, latency and challenges in this area. 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗸𝘀: • Data collection and analysis: Assisting with data collection by extracting relevant data from prosecution files and surveys. Supporting the research team with additional proofreading and verifying the information gathered, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the collected data • Creating databases for efficient organization and analysis and presenting findings through reports and presentations. • Program development: Infusing and exploring relevant academic researches and supporting quantitative data with qualitative deep interviews.

𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗸𝘀: • Data verification: I was responsible for reviewing and checking the information collected and ensuring its accuracy • Data extraction: I extracted relevant information from prosecution files, which formed a significant part of the research data. This involved a thorough examination of the records, identifying and selecting information that was relevant to the study • Database creation: I played a crucial role in creating databases to store the extracted information, organizing it in a manner that made it easily accessible for analysis • Supporting the research team: As a member of the research team, I was responsible for supporting the efforts of the team to ensure the completeness of the collected data. This involved regular meetings with the team, review and feedback on the data, and providing assistance where needed Overall, my involvement in the project allowed me to gain hands-on experience in conducting research, and working with large datasets, while contributing to a significant investigation in the field of corruption offences.

Thesis: Changing prison rates in the Netherlands: Aspirations and achievements

I participated in an Erasmus + Exchange program for an entire academic year during my master studies. I acquired and advanced crucial skills, such as critical thinking, cross-cultural communication while also improved my english language proficiency and problem-solving competencies.
