Franchisee - Warrawong
Key Responsibilities • Franchisee for Computer Department • Ranging, Buying and Merchandising • Management of 36 staff • Local Advertising and Promotion • Administration and Stock Control Key Achievements At the time of my appointment as Franchisee at Harvey Norman Warrawong it was ranked at number 35 in sales for the Harvey Norman Group. I grew this to number 10 even with the introduction of newer and bigger stores within the group. During my time there the Warrawong store moved from a smaller stand-alone store into a bigger and convergent Computer and Electrical store. This entailed modelling the new store and working closely with the Electrical Franchisee in delivering a seamless shopping environment for our customers within the Computer and Electrical businesses. In my capacity as Franchisee and steering committee member for Harvey Norman I was also a significant contributor to the strategy behind the convergence model of the store, which had not been done before by two existing senior Franchisees. I also had the opportunity to take top performing sales people to international and local computer and electronic events including Cebit (Germany), CES (Las Vegas) and E3 (Los Angeles) which I attended as part of the Steering Committee duties. In summary • Grew the store business from number 35 to number 10 in the Harvey Norman Group showing double-digit growth year on year. • Launched a new store with comprehensive convergence model • Devised and executed numerous local promotional campaigns through local media • Created sales competitions for sales personal to maximised local promotions • Created a store culture to satisfy every customer and develop a return customer environment • Formed strategic vendor partnerships to encourage their ongoing involvement and support in growing our businesses together • Member of various Steering Committees and major contributor to numerous products and category development

Franchisee - Miranda / Caringbah
Key Responsibilities • Franchisee for Computers Department • Ranging, Buying and Merchandising • Management of 7 - 32 staff • Local Advertising and Promotion • Administration and Stock Control Key Achievements The initial Franchise was located in Westfield Miranda and encompassed Computers and Electrical Small Appliances under the one franchise. After growing this business for a number of years and with the introduction of the Computer Superstore Model, this business was relocated to the Caringbah Supa Centre in Willarong Road Caringbah. At all times I aggressively promoted the store locally through limited local media encouraging our local customer base to continually return to our store to acquire a bargain and on occasion meet local celebrities such as NRL Australian Representative Andrew Ettinghausen. This encouraged a fun and novel atmosphere for our customers and sale staff alike, and also a great incentive for the customer base to us rather than our competitors. With the inception of the new super store I improved staff levels, provided intensive training and introduced better measurement to hit sales targets while at the same time ranging a good, better best range of products giving our customer base a vast range of choices and products. As an existing Steering Committee Member I also had the foresight to experiment and develop new products and categories In summary • Grew the Miranda business year on year to a $500,000 monthly sales turnover in it’s last year within the Westfield Complex with a floor space of 500 square meters • Launched, staffed and promoted the then biggest computer store within the Harvey Norman Group at the new location in Caringbah • Focused on new growth categories • Improved staffing levels, training and KPI measurement • Experimented with new products and categories in our local market. • Created fun and novel shopping experiences
