Over the last 16 years Peter has delivered a broad range of successful community based natural resource management and community capacity building initiatives in Australia and internationally. He has achieved success working on projects with multiple stakeholders across sectors including community, government, education and business and is now working with ACRE in the social enterprise sector. Peter is passionate about rural Australia and takes a practical approach to working with communities to help them identify and capitalise on the value of their diverse cultural and natural assets.

Over a 7 year period, key positions held at the North East Catchment Management Authority were Manager Catchment Program Coordination, River Health Operations Manager and a/- Water Programs Manager. During that time key responsibilities included the development and implementation of waterway restoration projects across the north east catchment and delivery of emergency management programs. This has involved managing staff, contractors and consultants to deliver approx. $20 million of waterways, riparian, wetland, floodplain and biodiversity restoration projects.

A major focus of this position was state wide business development that then expanded into broader research and development opportunities inter-state and overseas. * Key Achievements: * Drove business development across Victoria, NSW and Tasmania. * Managed up to 25 staff across 4 locations in Victoria. * Delivered significant wetland restoration projects at Ramsar listed Cheetham wetlands in Altona and at the Melbourne Wildlife Sanctuary La Trobe Bundoora. * Developed a strategic partnership with Heritage Victoria and implemented the community engagement ‘Hands-on-Heritage’ program. * Established a long standing partnership with Corangamite Catchment Management Authority designed to support Landcare groups in the region.
