* Responsible for ensuring that the governance and internal support services are aligned with the strategic direction of the City. * Set and deliver the strategic outcomes for Internal Business Units, namely: * Financial Services, * Corporate Planning, * Information Technology Services, * Organisational Development (HR), * City Governance, * Marketing & Communications * Property, and * Internal Audit.

* Contribute to setting the strategic planning of the Area Health Service in line with the New South Wales Department of Health. * Overall organisational resource allocation in line with estimated activity levels and set performance targets. * Review organisational policy to efficiently align the organisation’s internal support services with the needs of the patients and internal customers. * Set and deliver strategic outcomes for the Business Units in the directorate in which there were 1,000 staff employed in the following business units: * Financial Services, * Information Technology Services, * Property Services (including property, bio medical equipment and capital development), * Hotel Services, * Patient Transport, Fleet and Travel

* Responsible for ensuring that the City’s internal support services were aligned with the meeting the needs of delivering services to the community. * Plan and set the direction for the Directorate in the areas of: * Financial Services, * Information Technology Services, * Organisational Development (HR), * Administration (including Corporate Governance, Legal and Risk Management), * Corporate Planning, * Marketing & Communications, and * Property Services (including property development & maintenance).

* To lead and manage the development of effective and efficient financial and corporate support services. * To be the Chief Financial Officer for the Hospital and provide financial management leadership, including oversight of capital expenditure and monitoring operating expenses of all the Hospital’s Directorates. * Set and deliver the strategic outcomes for Internal Business Units, namely: * Financial Services, * Human Resources, * Contracts & Procurement, * Information Technology Services, and * Facilities.

* Responsible for allocating resources to provide for the ongoing delivery of services and new initiatives consistent with the strategic outcomes being pursued. * Direct, control and manage the financial and commercial operations in conjunction with the Vice Chancellor. * Provision of financial advice on major projects being undertaken or considered by the University. Management of University’s $100M investment portfolio to maximise investment returns in line with the adopted Investment Strategy. * Interface to Bankers, Treasury, Insurance, and Investments advisers to the University. Ensure compliance with relevant financial and business aspects of the Federal Governments National Governance Protocols.

* Provision of advice and support to Board of Directors. * Implementation of the Strategic Plan and associated outcomes. * Strategic Management of Subsidiary Companies and related activities, namely: * StateWest Financial Planning, * StateWest Real Estate, * StateWest Conveyancing, * Insurance, and * Legal Services * Effective use of all Corporate Resources and promotion of the Corporate Image. * Development and implementation of Corporate Policy, and * Overall Corporate and Risk Governance.

* Provision of advice and support to the CEO and Board of Directors. * Operational Management of Retail Banking. * Operational Management of Subsidiary Companies, including: * Financial and Tax Planning, * Real Estate, * Conveyancing, and * Insurance.
