Involved in a variety of projects, including: * Sizing of required pumps for booster station in Sudbury south end subdivision based on projected post-development water demand levels, including pipe layout, model, and other related calculations * Assistance with environmental report, including site-life calculations, for Northern Ontario landfill site * Assistance with large-scale water tank project * Preparation of contact time (c * t) calculations and charts for large mining company's water treatment plant * Surveying assistance in unbuilt terrain and for subdivision as-built drawings (Garson, New Sudbury, south end areas), using level and total station

Involved in a variety of projects with a focus on field work, including: * Participation in Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments at various gas station sites in Northern Ontario * Extensive use of AutoCAD for preparation of site plans and other diagrams * Determination of contaminated soil quantities using Surfer modeling program and borehole data for sizable government site in North Bay * Assistance with field work in borehole drilling, surveying, monitoring well sampling, and surface water sampling

Original exposure to an engineering consulting office, where I first developed an appreciation and understanding of this industry. Assisted experienced civil and environmental engineers with a variety of tasks, including site surveys, hydraulic modeling programs (HYDRA), preparing drawings with AutoCAD, interpreting municipal infrastructure design and as-built drawings, and generally developing a greater understanding of professional civil engineering.
