I am experienced in delivering yachts (as both mate and skipper) with, conservatively, over 32,000 miles at sea and am a RYA/MCA Yachtmaster (Offshore) and am also an Associate Fellow of the Royal Institute of Navigation. When delivering yachts I take the view that the safety of the crew is paramount and that the next most important matter is the safety of the boat. The aim is, of course, to deliver the boat as quickly as possible but owner imposed deadlines will be secondary to the safety of the crew and the boat. Each delivery is costed and quoted separately but the owner will be expected to cover all costs including (but not limited to) food, fuel, oil, supplies, customs and immigration fees, insurance premiums, port fees, emergencies or transportation whether local or to and from the point of departure and of destination for me and the crew and boat repairs, continuation and maintenance.
