Peter Cavicchia

SVP of General Services - Running the operations and overall strategy of Fiserv's shared services such as - Global Fraud Operations, Global Cyber Security & Risk Strategy, Global Real Estate Footprint - Facilities Operations Management, and Global Strategic Sourcing/Procurement. Focused on obtaining post acquisition synergies across these disciplines to deliver for the new Fiserv.

As Deputy CAO, Peter was responsible for developing cybersecurity and fraud strategies. He oversaw cybersecurity and fraud operations as well as the global real estate portfolio, global strategic sourcing services and shared services.

Reporting regularly to the Board of Directors, he built and oversaw a team that designed and executed the company’s new cybersecurity and fraud strategy. He ensured that as the company prepared to launch the new First Data IPO in October of 2015, that it was positioned with the appropriate strategy to protect itself and its growing client base within an evolving threat environment. He also participated in the development and launch of an updated cybersecurity and fraud product team to serve the First Data client base.

As a part of the newly created Operational Control Management office, Peter worked closely with the legal and compliance departments to respond to complex government and regulatory inquiries while continuing to run the vulnerability management, cyber threat intelligence, and cyber investigations functions. He worked closely with the CIO and heads of technology business development to identify emerging security technology and startup companies with disruptive products that were targets for JPM investment or utilization.

He was responsible for risk intelligence, analytics, vulnerability management, penetration testing, and the identification of new technology to prevent the loss of sensitive data and intellectual property. Also responsible for identifying root causes and designing and installing new measures and controls to prevent exploitation of the company’s online banking and remote channels.

As managing director responsible for cyber-related fraud and internal investigations he was responsible for developing cyber intelligence, analytics, investigations, product collaborations and remote channel teams that would add protection into the firm’s product base. During this uniquely challenging period in banking history he was part of the teams that successfully integrated technology and security with acquired entities and conducted compliance and other investigations in response to internal allegations and government and regulatory inquiries.

Joining the company during the JPMorgan Chase - Bank One merger, Peter was tasked with further developing the firm’s cyber capabilities as it expanded its online banking and remote channel products. He led sensitive internal investigations and was involved in the strengthening of internal controls and compliance monitoring functions .

As an agent with the USSS, Peter was charged with protecting heads of state and other dignitaries. As an agent with significant expertise in forensics, cybercrime, and fraud he was responsible for investigating sophisticated electronic crimes and testifying as an expert witness in federal court. He assisted the USSS in building a multinational network of electronic crime task forces, bringing together federal, state, and local agencies with private industry and academic institutions to fight cybercrime. Based on their history of success these task forces were identified by the U.S

Peter was assigned to the High Tech Unit, Major Crimes (Homicide, Sex Crimes, Domestic Violence, Arson, Megan's Law), specializing in the recovery of evidence from computers and other electronic devices. As part of a team to improve the office’s overall use of technology he developed new case management, intelligence, and case intake systems.
